Lindsay & Dustin’s Engagement Session at Coolidge Park, Tennessee

Album story by Lisa Shelby Photography

Lindsay and Dustin are so sweet!!! I absolutely loved getting to know them at their engagement session! They choose to have their engagement session in Chattanooga this fall since that is a very special place for them! We actually had their session in the exact park where they first met and over in front of the restaurant where they had dinner on their first date!!! This couple is so much fun! Chris and I seriously can't wait for their wedding day in Nashville next year! Thank you so much Lindsay and Dustin for choosing us to photograph your wedding!!! Congratulations on your engagement!!!

Reflections and Driftwood Engagement

Natalie's favorite movie is the Notebook. While planning for her engagement session she wanted to incorporate the movie without copying it – to make her own “notebook” so to speak. We shot half of the session over at Cypress gardens which was home to one of the scenes in the movie and then because she and Andrew are such nature lovers, went out to Edisto Island and finished the session at Boneyard beach on an incredibly hot day.

Natalie choose 3 outfits, with 2 of the gowns from designer Joanna August. A peach dress at Cypress gardens and lilac for the beach. They are getting married at Charleston Tea Plantation this September with the theme “Antebellum with an edge”……

The canoe portion of the session really speaks of who they are – Andrew recently canoed the Edisto river over 3 days and covered over 80 miles. They both love the beach and while photographing on boneyard beach, Andrew found quite a few shark teeth.

It was sooooo hot on the beach (105 that day) and bright blue sky, but were still able to make the most of our surroundings and make use of the organic props!!

Alex & Zach

Alex and Zach grew up together as young children, but eventually would part ways in middle school and early high school days. One summer night, ten years ago, Alex, 15 and Zach 16, were reintroduced by a mutual friend. Little did they know, they actually lived right down the street from one another…

Southern Love

How we met – Friday March 7, 2010 is when Derk & I first met at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Derk was trying to catch a flight out to LA for friend’s wedding but was unable to. So his buddies came by, picked him up and they went to the race track…

How He proposed – We are very big into outdoors, traveling, and just making the most of the time we have together. During the summer time we are on the lake, river, or at the beach. We love the water!!! This was our first beach trip of 2013. This was just a long weekend trip we were taking with our friends…
