Whitney and David’s Idyllic Wedding at Tallahassee’s Historic Grove

Whitney and David were married at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Tallahassee with their reception immediately following at a historic Tallahassee landmark, The Grove. There hasn’t been a non-family wedding at The Grove. Whitney and David were the very first! The Grove is the former home of two Florida Governors and sits right beside the current home of Florida’s Governor on 1st Avenue.

Here is a magazine article about The Grove:

The property is just gorgeous for a celebration and the Smith-Ellis Wedding was a step above. What a wedding it was! From guests riding the trolley to the reception to champagne handed to each guest as they arrived. No detail was overlooked. It was wonderful!

With the cocktail hour on the front lawn with a trio and the reception under a transparent tent in the back- guests truly enjoyed themselves. The Uptown Band kept the crowd dancing all night beneath the transparent (and fabulous) tent! At the end of the evening, Whitney and David’s custom glow cups lit their way to their honeymoon.

Congrats Mr & Mrs Ellis!!
