Brittany & Marshall Tie the Knot

Album story by  Laura Tomlinson Photography

Brittany & Marshall had a beautiful wedding day full of love, laughter, friends & family. I am so blessed to call them friends as well as clients. They are a wonderfully quirky couple that is always open for a laugh as you can see from some of their wedding day pictures. The day started early with the girls getting ready. Lots of giggling and girl talk as everyone got their hair and make up just right. Friends and family were milling around making the day extra special. Marshall’s mom was helping with the reception decorations while Brittany’s mom was helping all the girls get ready. The Banq was hopping! Several blocks down the road, my 2nd shooter, Jessica, was having fun capturing the groomsmen’s antics. Lots of video games and laughs at the church to quell Marshall’s nerves. She took them out and had some fun with the downtown graffiti and recreating the famous Beatles Abby Road. The ceremony was in an urban church in downtown Kingsport with plenty of modern elements to keep with Brittany’s downtown vibe. Purple stage lighting gave the whole area a beautiful glow as she walked down the aisle. Christian elements and special unity crosses were used to remind the couple of God’s love and His importance in their relationship and life. After the I do’s, we headed towards the train depot for some cool shots with graffiti covered train cars and historic downtown elements. We made fools of ourselves while a cop watched from a far…just to make sure we didn’t get run over by a train. Or at least that was his excuse! We eventually made it back to Banq so the reception could continue! Amazing food, laughs and dancing ensued. The groom and best man even made their own song and dance routine for the garter toss. My ears have yet to recover! A sparkler exit was the perfect way to end their perfect evening. We laughed, we cried. But overall it was amazing. Thank you Marshall & Brittany for letting us share in your day.
