Jennifer & David’s Wedding at Hermitage Museum & Gardens, Virginia

Album story by  Keith Cephus Photography

Jennifer’s story about her special day: The Hermitage was the first place I visited in person after doing lots of research online. I fell in love with it immediately and knew that I didn’t need to see anywhere else! The two non-negotiables that we secured first were the venue and the photographer. We felt like those were the most important things to lock down because pictures are a concrete memory of our day and the location was a perfect setting for great photography. The venue was already so gorgeous that we needed little more than the basics, with personal touches of our own. No one noticed that we didn’t have a guestbook or programs but they loved getting a mason jar that was engraved with a quote from our vows and came with a cute little burlap name tag. Dave brewed all of the beer for the wedding and my Spanish aunts made sure his sangria was authentic and delicious! We spent a lot of energy on the things that we love and focused on those select aspects for our guests to enjoy. The most important thing at the end of the day was that our guests had a great time and we had great memories. It was easy since we had the dynamics of my large Spanish family and Dave’s American family together. Lots of effort went into the day but it was worth every moment.
