Album story by Cavin Elizabeth Photography
It’s an engagement session on the blog today! Lauralee and Brandon have been dating for a few years now. I have known Lauralee since she and I were small children, so it was such a joy to photograph her with her fiance! I am so excited for their wedding in May and was honored to be the photographer for their engagement session. Lauralee, with her gorgeous red hair, and Brandon, with his handsome blue eyes, were up for just about any pose and location. We met up at McClellan Park in Jacksonville/Anniston, Alabama and found an old underpass of a train. Unfortunately, the bugs and heat were nearly unbearable in September! We braved through it; I regretted wearing shorts due to my 10 mosquito bites; and my friend Liz was a trooper at being a friend/assistant for the day! We tried a number of poses and I suggested a “dip” by the train underpass as well as on this beautiful gazebo. It’s not always so easy to hold a dip long enough to get a great photo of the couple dancing, but they were so willing to experiment with different ideas. I truly could not have asked for a more patient and excited couple to photograph. Right before sunset, everyone was more relaxed and it made for a truly beautiful session at McClellan. We got so many great shots for Lauralee and Brandon’s engagement session at McClellan Park, which has become one of my favorite places to photograph when visiting Alabama. I hope to capture more photos of these two again someday and cannot wait to see Lauralee walk down the aisle in May!
