Album Story by Laura Tomlinson Photography
I was so ecstatic when this gorgeous bride asked me to be her photographer…at a winery! UHM YES PLEASE! Anthony & Courtney have been together for almost 10 years total but this love story started way back in elementary when they met in kindergarten. YES, KINDERGARTEN! They are adventure lovers who got engaged on a mountain top. A perfect spot for hiking enthusiast Anthony (who hiked the Appalachian Trail, yes the whole thing, a few years back) to ask this sweet girl to be his wife. Chateau Morrisette is a beautiful winery in the hills of Floyd, Virginia – right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Courtney had been dreaming of getting married here since she was a little girl. We were given access to the barrel room, the reception area and the grounds for her bridal portraits. I fell in love with the porch and the barrel room! Courtney’s hair and makeup were done beautifully by her sister and the flowers were done by her future mother-in-law. It’s always amazing when someone so close to you can have such a big part in your special day. This is one of the most beautiful spots I have seen for a wedding and I am so glad I was blessed enough to capture their special day.
